Chapter two: Leaving

Ever since the fight with Watari I had been in my room.
I was thinking about what I should do.
My first thoughts were to leave and search for Mello, but no matter how much I really wanted to do that, I was afraid to do it.
How was I’m going to find Mello? I mean, he could be everywhere!
Plus I don’t have a lot of money, so I couldn’t afford a hotel or something like that.

I stood up and looked outside.
It was almost to dark to see anything.

“Okay Matt, you want to see Mello, so you have two options, or you go cry about it and do nothing, or you go and search him like you want to”, I said to myself.

A few seconds later I stood up and grabbed my backpack, I was going to search for him!
I quickly putted a few t-shirts and jeans in it, my favorite games, my DS, some candy and money.

After looking at my room for one last time, I closed the door and went to Watari’s office.
The door was open, so I peeked trough it, and saw he wasn’t there, so I walked into his office.
I searched the drawers, and found a wallet with 500 dollars in it.

“I’m sorry I’ve to steal from you Watari, but I have to find Mello”, I said to myself while I putted the wallet in my pocket.

When I was outside I also dug up the box we buried and took it with me.
I knew Mello so well, but I only knew Mello, not Mihael Keehl, so I had no idea where he could be outside of Wammy’s House.
He did told me about his past a few times, but not where he used to live or something like that.

I had a photo of him, but I couldn’t walk around showing it to people and asking if they might have seen him, I mean, when we went to Wammy’s House, Watari took care of all things relating to us, photo’s, files, everything, we just didn’t exist anymore, so I’m sure it was important to not be known by the world.

I know the other aliases that Mello sometimes used, so I could hack the airport and check their passenger
list to see if one of those names are in there.
Okay, so I now have a plan on how to locate him, now I just needed a place to stay, and hopefully find him soon.

I smiled.
I was glad  things were going so smooth already, I know I haven’t found him yet, but I felt like I was already one step closer to him.
Yes, it was just a matter of time now before I was re-united with Mello again.
